Serrano Ham Rolled Bread

serranoham.jpg

Inspired by the Venezuelan Pan de Jamon here is a version with Serrano Ham, figs and green Calvestrano Olives. It is a great festive bread to make for the holiday or any special occasion and it is super simple to make. You can also cheat and buy the dough made at the store like any fresh made pizza dough will work. We have tested the trader Joe’s pizza dough and the Pizza crust in a can from Pitsburry.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup of Tepid water

2 Tsp. of yeast

1 pound of all purpose flour

2 eggs (1 egg for dough other for egg wash)

On a floured surface, with the help of a roller, extend the dough to make a 15 by 20 inches, ¼ of inch thick rectangle.
